Recently, a painting sold in 2008 came back into my possession.
I wasn’t entirely sure I wanted it – what artist with a studio full of work wants to add to the pile? But now that it’s here, I’m glad for the chance to revisit both the work, and the ideas that went into it.
The seed-image for a solo exhibition, Dwelling left my studio sooner than I’d expected. I suppose it’s appropriate that it should then return to me, unexpectedly.
